How to Use Google Adsense to Make Money Online
This post outlines exactly how you can use Google Adsense to immediately make money from a blog or site, without having to sell any products or services.

Google Adsense is the market leader in online advertising. It acts as the middle man between publishers and advertisers and generally solves the following problem:
  • A publisher has visitors on their site or blog but nothing to sell to make money from it.
  • The advertiser has a product or service they wish to sell, but not enough visitors to pitch it to.
The solution: the advertiser pays the publisher for a share of their visitors.
‘‘
The advertiser pays the publisher every time a visitor clicks on their ad (known as Pay-Per-Click Advertising).

The publisher places an ad on their site directing the visitor to the advertiser’s page. The advertiser pays the publisher every time a visitor clicks on their ad (known as Pay-Per-Click Advertising). The publisher may have multiple ads displayed at the same time to allow potential income from multiple advertisers at any particular moment in time.

Adsense uses very sophisticated algorithms to carefully target ads that are relevant to the specific visitor of your website and/or to the content being displayed on the current webpage they are viewing.

Have you ever wondered how an ad was able to determine your location, your gender or even your age? Or have you ever been searching for a product one day, only to find advertisements for that product appearing on a different site the following day or week?...

What is Self-Actualization? [1 Min Quick-Read]

Self-Actualization
What is Self-Actualization? [1 Min Quick-Read]
A lot of people have been asking me what the term self-actualization actually means. Here’s Abraham Maslow’s definition, who brought the term most fully to prominence:

“What a man can be, he must be. This need we may call self-actualization…It refers to the desire for self-fulfilment, namely, to the tendency for him to become actualized in what he is potentially. This tendency might be phrased as the desire to become more and more what one is, to become everything that one is capable of becoming.”
~ Abraham Maslow

So self-actualization is not just about being yourself or being true to yourself, but rather being your best self. This requires that:...

Scarcity and Abundance Mindsets in Dating and Relationships
In the post Value Always Comes First: What Causes Attraction and Falling in Love, we discussed what it means to be a high value person and how the 3 main characteristics of this person (core confidence, self-expression and giving value) are what influence long-term success in dating and relationships. A quality that ties in closely with giving value worthy of its own article is an idea that we’ve taken from Stephen Coveys’s inspirational book, The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. This is the idea of having an abundance mindset: the paradigm that there is plenty out there for everybody.

An abundance mindset can be present in different areas of one’s life, for example, your attitude towards your finances and money being another area where you can benefit from having an abundance mindset.

At first glance, this paradigm appears very counterintuitive. If someone were to get a big piece of the pie, it would mean less for everybody else right?

Wrong. As is very often the case in dating and in life, those things that yield the biggest results are usually completely counterintuitive. Nail this and your success in dating and relationships will be better than anything you could have ever imagined...

Managing Your Money For Free: Mint.com Review
It doesn’t matter whether you are a business tycoon or a homemaker, money management can help you out of the toughest situations. Especially with the sluggish economy these days, finding a good money management tool can be a blessing in disguise rather than a complicated process.

The Federal Reserve’s G.19 Report for consumer credit (July 2011) indicated that the total United States revolving debt was more than $793.1 billion. 98 percent of this amount is solely made up of credit cards. The total consumer debt as of May 2011 was over $2.4 trillion. Going further, the average credit card debt per household debt was around $15,800. Finding a good money management tool is quickly becoming more and more of a necessity...

Value Always Comes First: What Causes Attraction and Falling In Love?
The cause of attraction for both men and women is value… not looks, not grooming, not personality, not social status, not an emotional connection, not being ‘hard to get’, not being a good lover, not money, not gifts, not commonalities, not being nice.

Although many of these things (some much more than others) do indeed contribute to creating value, they are each only parts that contribute to a person’s overall value.

What is Value?

Value is anything that enhances, or has the potential to enhance the life of one or more people.

What Does it Mean to be a Person of High Value?

A person of high value has the tendency to induce a feeling in others brought about by their presence, behaviours, or emotional influences. This feeling indicates (consciously or subconsciously) to the other person that they enhance, or have the potential to enhance the life of that person.

This term can relate to family, friendships and business relationships as well as to dating and romantic relationships. But for the purpose of this article, here we will only talk about how value relates to attraction and love...

The Hidden Opportunity of Adversity

The Hidden Opportunity of Adversity
Everyone has a fear of failure, including anyone who is successful. If you don’t have a fear of failure then you probably have something inherently wrong with your emotional circuitry as a human being. Fear of failure is not the problem: what really stops people from expanding their horizons is when their fear of failure becomes greater than their desire for success.

The truth is, though, that it is only through adversity and failure that we really learn. In fact, there are a number of people throughout the years who have reached the pinnacle of success right after hitting rock bottom and failing – sometimes even failing dozens of times.

From Failure to Success in 10,000 Easy Steps!

One of the best examples of the trials and tribulations of a small business owner who went from failure to success is Thomas Edison. When working on the electric light bulb – and after finally getting it to work – Edison was quoted as saying, “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.”

This quote is a shining example of the way that we should view our failures because it reflects a shift in criteria for success away from something that is results-orientated and towards something actually within our locus of control: whether or not you are...
